Walk With The Lord

We are wanderers looking for the correct path. We get lost in the twists and turns of life there are obstacles protrude on road making it harder to walk. The weather is storming or bright rays of sun shine rain down on us. The path changes constantly. But the one thing that never changes is our companion, God. He is always walking right beside us picking us up when we fall. Even if we cannot see him at times he is always with us. We must accept God’s lead even if it wasn’t part of our own plan.

I feel that I am currently trying to discover God plan for me. I am struggling between my wants and wishes from his own. It is hard to tell the difference sometimes. I tend to take the road less traveled the harder route. I have so many fears and anxieties that eat away at me every day. The things I feel that either I want to do or I feel called to do will be hard to live on. This is very college students fear, not being able to pay off those big debts. I am still looking for the right path for me and hopefully with some prayer, I will be able to find my way again.

Walking with the Lord is also about following in his example of how to treat others, with love and respect. Looking out for others before yourself, just like God looks out for you. Love as Christ loves. These are very big shoes to fill but God will help us along the way. Above is a bunch of photos I took of my feet in different places. We must follow in the footsteps of Christ all the time not just when it is convenient for us.

God Help the Outcasts (God in Art-Music)

God Help the Outcasts from Hunchback Of Notre Dame. I have always loved this song. It expresses the inner plead that I think that we all feel at some points in our lives. The doubt whether God is truly with us. The song is so selfless she is asking not for help for herself but rather those who are suffering around her, the beauty of giving even just a prayer. Not only this but it also reminds us that Christ was in a similar place as us he was view as an outcast at the end of his life here on earth. I think this song is beautiful and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

To Live with Grace

My friend Caitlyn Chrisenee is doing a awesome photography project called To Live With Grace; inspirational stories by women for women! She incorporates God and quotes from the bible! She is also going to be publishing them in a book soon! Here is a sample of one of her photos! You should follow her on Instagram: tolivewithgrace

A Close Up Look

Everyday we walk past things not even giving them a second glance. Unfortunately some people are like this when it comes to God. They don’t bother to take a closier look into his dying love for us. They miss out on his beauty. Much like the photos that i took above. We all think of flowers as a thing of beauty but had anyone ever stopped and looked a rotting fruit or rusty metal and deemed it beautiful? So i brought this task upon myself to go out and find beauty in some likely and unlikely spots. A thorny stem that pricks you at the touch but yet has a lush, vibrant color. The rotting crabapple the wearing away and decaying of this fruit has it’s own special elegance. A cluster of dead flowers reminds me how we die in this life but we go on to live with Christ in the next. Overall my little project was successful. My challenge to you dear readers is to do the same. Don’t be afraid to take a second look at God.

Art In Unexpected Places

Nothing is impossible! This blind man creates vibrant paintings just by using his sense of touch

God blesses us in unexpected ways. This young man went blind but still creates beautiful pieces of art. This just shows how you can turn a curse into a blessing. I think we can all take something away from strong people like this.

Ordinary Miracles

It’s not that unusual
When everything is beautiful
It’s just another
Ordinary miracle today
The sky knows when it’s time to snow
Don’t need to teach a seed to grow
It’s just another
Ordinary miracle today
Life is like a gift, they say
Wrapped up for you everyday
Open up, and find a way
To give some of your own
Isn’t it remarkable?
Like everytime a raindrop falls
It’s just another
Ordinary miracle today
The birds in winter have their fling
And always make it home by spring
It’s just another
Ordinary miracle today
I think Sarah Mclachlan put it beautifully. There are little gifts of miracles that occur each and everyday. Today at my work (nature camp) one of my coworkers brought in a injured baby robin, that her dog had caught the previous night. We all helped to feed it. (moisten dog food with tweezers and a small earth worm.) I think that this little baby birds survival was an ordinary miracle. It also helped me remember the importance of respecting not just human lives but all lives, even animals! #prolife
